1. MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT
By purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, the Liability Waiver, PAR-Q, and Gym Rules.

 

2. ELIGIBILITY

• Members must be 18 years or older

• Members aged 14–17 may use the gym only when supervised by a responsible adult

• Proof of age may be required

 

3. ACCESS & USE

• Access is provided via an app-controlled key system

• Access is strictly personal and must not be shared

• Misuse of access may result in immediate termination

The gym operates predominantly unmanned, and members use the facility at their own risk.

 

4. HEALTH & SAFETY
Members must:

• Complete a PAR-Q prior to access

• Inform the gym of any relevant health conditions

• Only exercise within their capability

• Stop immediately if feeling unwell

The gym reserves the right to refuse or suspend access based on health concerns.

 

5. UNSUPERVISED TRAINING 
Members acknowledge that:

• The gym is not staffed at all times

• There is no guarantee of immediate assistance

• There is currently:

  • No on-site first aider during unmanned hours

  • No intercom system

  • No AED (defibrillator)

Members accept full responsibility for their safety while using the facility.

 

6. RULES OF USE
Members agree to:

• Use equipment correctly and safely

• Re-rack weights after use

• Wipe down equipment after use

• Wear appropriate gym attire

• Not engage in unsafe or disruptive behaviour

 

7. CCTV & SECURITY

• CCTV is in operation for safety and security

• Footage may be used for incident investigation

• Misconduct may result in access being revoked

 

8. PAYMENTS & CANCELLATION

• Membership fees are payable in advance, and will be billed monthly on a recurring payment cycle. 

• If you wish to cancel your membership, please contact us directly by email or in writing. Once we receive your cancellation request, your membership will remain active until the end of your current paid billing period and will then end before your next payment date.

• You are welcome to continue using the facilities until the end of the month you have already paid for. Please note that we do not offer refunds or partial refunds for unused membership time.

 

9. SUSPENSION & TERMINATION
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership for:

• Breach of rules or terms

• Unsafe behaviour

• Misuse of access system

No refund will be issued in such cases.

 

10. LIABILITY

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by negligence

• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

Subject to this:

• Members use the gym at their own risk

• ION is not responsible for injuries resulting from:

  • Misuse of equipment

  • Failure to follow guidance

  • Unsupervised training

 

11. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

• Property is brought at your own risk

• ION accepts no responsibility for loss or theft

 

12. FACILITY AVAILABILITY
We may:

• Close areas for maintenance

• Adjust opening hours if required

No compensation will be provided for temporary closures.

 

13. CHANGES TO TERMS
We may update these terms at any time. Members will be notified where appropriate.

 

14. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
